Job Description:


Established steel building fabrication shop seeks a motivated and driven individual to join our team of professionals in Harrison Township, MI.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Read and interpret project plans, blueprints and other written instructions and diagrams to perform task at hand
  • Perform MIG, TIG (95% MIG) and other types of weld based on project needs
  • Install welds including hollow metal tubing, framing, metal sheeting and other parts
  • Select proper fillers for jobs based on previous experience or project instructions
  • Coordinate with additional crew members for efficient installations
  • Conserve resources whenever possible to ensure budgetary integrity and client satisfaction
  • De-bur and grind metal as necessary to achieve proper surface texture


Welding and construction skills (not limited to):

  • Welding from standing and kneeling positions, as well as from elevated positions.
  • The ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Knowledge of construction and building materials
  • Knowledge of safe operation of basic hand and power tools
  • Knowledge of workplace and safe lifting and handling procedures



  • Ability to operate required equipment in a safe and responsible manner
  • Occasional client service and public interaction skills
  • Team building
  • Effective verbal and listening communications skills
  • Time management skills.
  • Must have a good driving record and be able to pass random drug testing as well as pre-employment background
