Mechanical Apprentice

Must have the physical, developmental and mental ability to perform job tasks, work

efforts, responsibilities and duties of the job illustrated below:

ILLUSTRATIVE DUTIES

  • Commit to completing 5-year training course in the evening (payed for by the company) at a local community college campus
  • Ability to work in uncomfortable cold or hot situations.  You'll frequently be working in cramped conditions installing and repairing duct work and related appliances. Safety gear will be needed for working around insulation and hazardous materials.
  • Work 40 hours per week on plumbing work sites at schools, commercial and residential sites
  • Background working on dirt bikes, snowmobiles, etc. is all helpful, as it shows mechanical inclination.
  • Knowledge of occupational hazards and safety precautions of the trade.
  • History working in some sort of construction field
  • Ability to perform a variety of manual work in all weather conditions.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must possess a valid driver’s license.
  • Must possess a reliable vehicle to commute to and from job sites and classes.

COMPENSATION

  • $15 per hour plus healthcare, dental and vision.  Paid vacation time, 401k program, Aflac, etc.
